My Vocational Situation is a career assessment that consists of 18 T/F questions, eight Y/N questions, and space for additional questions or comments. This assessment serves as a beginning guideline for students to grasp what information and guidance you still need as you begin your career search. It is designed to assess for difficulties related to vocational decision-making and identifying a user's unclear vocational goals. Through completion, an individual is able to identify and assess three features of vocational decision-making (i.e. vocational identity, occupational information, and barriers that may be perceived as limitations to pursuing differing occupational goals and objectives). This assessment is free, brief, and easy to complete and is written at ninth grade reading level. No training is required to complete or administer this assessment. You can access this assessment here and submit your completed assessment to the counseling department. Once the counselors have reviewed your assessment, they will reach out to you to review your results.
